Roof Shout!

Finally got the roof on. We put it on over Friday & Saturday. Who needs rafters or trusses, this roofing just sits straight on the wall frames. Easy as.
Thanks so much to Wes, Paul, Luke and our new neighbour Richard for the help over the past few days and giving us a lift - you guys are awesome!

For those who care, the roofing is profiled metal on top, flat metal on the bottom, and a 150mm thick polystyrene core. Each sheet is 1m wide and links together just like regular roofing on top (one rib overlaps the next sheet) and tongue and groove at the bottom. It's normally used as roofing and cladding for cool store rooms, so it will keep us nice and warm.

The underside will be our finished ceiling, so no gib, no stopping, no painting, and the insulation is built it - job done.

All the panels delivered in a 40ft container
Last chance for a selfie on top of the frames - don't tell OSH

Good thing you've got that safety harness Steve - It's a pretty steep roof...
